In order to use my scientific training for public benefit, I work with organizations in India to promote, teach, and contribute to enhanced outcomes for public health. My areas of interest are: I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of organizations from Pfizer and Novartis, to the Centers for Disease Control - in all these engagements, I have used my science training and background to solve a multitude of issues. For my doctoral and postdoctoral work, I investigated mechanisms by which neuronal circuits generate and sustain epileptic seizures. |
As a clinical scientist, I have worked - both in India and the US - to directly apply my science training for patients with refractory epilepsies.
From day-long Brain Awareness Week events to developing curricula, to teaching educators, I am passionate about disseminating science information to the public.
